The Mask 044 - 2022

Masks played an important role in Japanese culture. Kyogen, Gigaku, Bagaku, Noh, Clown or Kagura masks were used for religious ceremonies, theater or face defence.

I animated 99 masks from the 18th century from Japan to live. The original masks are from the Tokyo National Museum and Kyushu National Museum.

Every mask is a Single Edition.
